Caramy and Donna

What began as my mothers hobby more than 50 years ago, continues today through the love and passion instilled in me to make a dogs life better. I have been involved in animal advocacy, rescue, rehabilitation, foster-adoption, education, and dog-human matchmaking for more than 3 decades.

I know a great deal about the breeds of dogs that have been part of her life and family, and I have a working knowledge about countless other pure breed and mix breed dogs. "There are characteristics common in each dog breed, which helps people find a good match for themselves and family. But like people, every dog is different with a unique temperament and that's really important to know when inviting a dog into your home and heart".

Periodically, a homeless puppy or adult dog comes to live with me. My goal is to make sure they get the medical care they may need before matching them with a great new family. If I have a loving dog available for adoption, they will be listed below.

Meet Alice

Alice is a vivacious 10-year old diva. She’s in very good health, has been spayed, microchipped, is current on all her shots, and just recently had a thorough dental cleaning. The only real health concern at this point in her life is that she needs to be on two eyedrops, one because she has dry eyes and the other to prevent inflammation in her right eye. The ideal home will will be with a woman who has no other dogs or cats, and a secure fenced-in yard or patio with a doggy door.

Trains, planes, and automobiles -- she’s been on all of them and is the perfect travel companion. Her favorite things include food, toys, food, barking at strangers, food, hugs and kisses, treats -- oh and did I mention food! She doesn’t much care for power tools, rumba-type vacuum cleaners, or men. She’s house-trained, will sit for a treat, and will sleep on the pillow next to you in bed each night. Her favorite place is on you lap and while she enjoys walks, she’d rather be in her stylin‘ sling or travel purse.

Adoption Process

I do not ship dogs and I must meet you. Please send me an email and tell me about yourself, your home, and anyone else that is or will be living in your home. If it seems this is a potentially good match, I’ll email you an application. There is an adoption fee to cover the cost of required medical care that was or is necessary to make sure each dog is healthy before they are adopted. If a dog is not spayed or neutered, a reimbursable deposit will be applied and returned upon proof of spaying or neuter from a veterinarian.
